What to expect
We understand that caring for someone with mental illness or disorder is a difficult job and we want to support you and provide with as much information as possible. Your engagement with service users is valued and helps us ensure we are providing the best possible care for your relative. We believe it is important that you are aware of our aims in working with your relative or friend.
At Active Pathways we aim to promote independence and choice for all our service users. We achieve this by encouraging and promoting individuality, right to self-expression and right to make informed choices.
Service users are encouraged to regain social skills through meaningful interaction in the community and support to obtain voluntary and/or paid work.
Staff actively promote a healthy lifestyle approach through responsible behavior and encourage service users to access healthcare services and local amenities.
All service users are supported to register with the local GP and dental services and are supported to access appropriate secondary care services within the NHS, when required.
