Starting a first qualified role is an important step in an Occupational Therapist’s career. At Active Pathways, we support newly qualified Occupational Therapists through structured preceptorship, regular supervision and opportunities for continued professional development.
Iqra joined Active Pathways in January 2026 as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist after graduating from the University of Huddersfield in 2025. Working across our Yorkshire services, she supports people to develop the skills, confidence and positive routines that are important to their daily lives and longer-term goals.
Supporting newly qualified Occupational Therapists
Iqra is completing our structured Occupational Therapy Preceptorship Programme, which supports newly qualified Occupational Therapists as they move from university into professional practice.
The programme includes weekly supervision, reflective practice and dedicated professional development. It gives Occupational Therapists the space to discuss their work, strengthen their clinical skills and build confidence in their new role.
