Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement 2025–2026

Active Pathways is committed to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation within our organisation and supply chain. As a specialist adult social care provider, we uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct, dignity, and human rights.

Our Commitment

Active Pathways is committed to driving out acts of modern-day slavery and human trafficking within its business and from within its supply chains, including sub-contractors, and partners. We welcome the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will ensure transparency within the organisation and with suppliers of goods and services to us.

Governance & Accountability

Our Director Team oversees safeguarding, HR, and governance. Designated Safeguarding Leads ensure concerns are recognised and escalated. HR action will be taken against anyone who breaches this statement.

Safer Recruitment & Employment

We apply robust recruitment procedures including Right to Work checks, DBS screening, and reference checks aligned to CQC requirements. We do not tolerate any form of forced labour, coercion, debt bondage, or exploitation of colleagues, agency workers, or contractors.

Supply Chain Standards

We expect all suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, maintain transparent labour practices, and uphold safe working conditions. Active Pathways will not support or deal with any business knowingly involved in slavery or human trafficking.

Training & Awareness

Modern slavery awareness is embedded within our core learning plan and embedded in safeguarding training.

Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

This policy statement will be reviewed annually and monitored through audits, colleague feedback, and governance oversight. The company Directors and senior management shall take responsibility for implementing this policy statement and its objectives and shall provide adequate resources (training) and investment to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within the organisation or within its supply chains.
