Regional Award for Active Pathways’ Inclusive Approach to Shaping Care and Culture

Regional Award for Active Pathways’ Inclusive Approach to Shaping Care and Culture

Active Pathways is celebrating success at the Great British Care Awards, winning the Co-Production Award at the North West regional finals.

The award recognises the organisation’s inclusive approach to involving both the people it supports and its staff in shaping how services are designed, delivered and developed. This approach – known as co-production – ensures that everyone has a voice in the decisions that affect them.

Over the past year, Active Pathways has introduced service-user involvement in recruitment, with individuals helping to interview and select new colleagues, and co-developed its Strategic Pillars and Team Charters through joint workshops with staff and service users.

Managing Director Syd Coombes said:

“This award recognises the collaboration at the heart of Active Pathways. When people we support and our staff work together to shape our organisation, the result is more inclusive, responsive and empowering care.”

Regional winners from the Great British Care Awards will go on to represent their areas at the national finals in 2026.
