From Support Worker to Registered Manager: Becky’s Career Journey at Active Pathways

When Becky Reynolds joined Active Pathways at The Hamptons, and inpatient service in Preston, during the Covid period, she didn’t imagine she’d one day be leading a service of her own. What she did know was that she wanted to make a difference.

Becky moved The Hamptons to  Brook House residential service in Chorley as a Senior Support Worker, supporting adults with complex mental health needs. It was there that she began to think about her next steps.
“I remember being asked what my long-term goal was,” Becky says. “I said I wanted to be a Registered Manager one day – and here I am.”

With encouragement from her colleagues and mentors, Becky built her confidence and leadership skills. Training opportunities, hands-on experience and the support of a great team helped her keep moving forward, one step at a time.

“I’ve been privileged to work with amazing teams and to be mentored by incredibly talented and passionate people.”

Today, Becky is the Registered Manager at South Grove House in Halifax, leading a residential service that supports adults on their recovery journey in a kind, active, therapeutic environment.

“If you show up, work hard and really want it, anything is possible – and Active Pathways will invest in you. I’m proof of that.”

Becky’s story is just one example of how people grow within Active Pathways. With the right support, belief and opportunity, careers in care can become something truly rewarding – for the people who work with us and for those we support every day.
