Active Pathways awarded Investors in People Gold standard

We’re very excited to announce that, after our recent Investors in People (IIP) assessment, Active Pathways has been awarded the Gold standard!

Significant work was undertaken across all our sites to reaccredit both of our Preston services, and award Leeds with a Gold standard after their first inspection, which is a huge achievement!

Across the board, we’ve been working hard to create and put action plans in place; making sure our services are focussed on ensuring our values-based approaches were being embedded into our new services and maintained in our current ones. This enabled us to showcase some of the great work that we’ve done over the past year or so and supported the positive feedback we received in the IIP surveys.

Syd Coombes, Director

Syd Coombes, our Managing Director, commented,

I really want to congratulate and thank you all for the hard work and effort that you’ve put in for making our services a great place to work. It’s been a tough year but we’ve really rallied together and this award shows that. We’ve all worked extremely hard to ensure we have action plans in place for all services and the feedback we’ve got from the IIP assessors had been phenomenal.”

So where did we score our highest scores?

A whopping 98% of our people agreed that we enable and adopt our values. Being recognised here was especially important because our values underpin the entire organisation, we’re shaped by our principles and the people who live them.

Katie Pilkington, Assistant Director

Katie Pilkington, our Assistant Director, said,

Personally I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication to making Active Pathways the place it is, for our service users, their families and for our teams. We’ve had a tough year and we’ve really pulled through because of how amazing our teams are and this accreditation is evidence of that.

It comes down to our amazing employees. The tireless work they have contributed to Active Pathways over the last year has developed our offering not just as service, but as an employer.

And we don’t plan on stopping here. The Investors in People accrediting body provide recommendations and support in turning these pointers into tangible activities. Recognition doesn’t mean we will slow down, in fact, the opposite is true. The gold award has given us food for thought, about how we can continually improve our organisational processes, we’ll strive to maintain the award requirements time and time again.

“Your people consistently confirmed that Active Pathways is a fantastic organisation to work for, and impressed us with their enthusiasm and passion for supporting your service users on their journey towards recovery and living a fulfilled and active life.”
