Team Profile: Claire Sehari – Registered Manager

We have some amazing news, because four, yes four(!), members of our team at Preston have been promoted so this week we’ll be interviewing a team member each day.

Today we’re talking to Claire who has progressed from Deputy Manager at our Preston locations to Registered Manager for both of our Preston sites.

What’s your career background?

I’ve been a registered Mental Health Nurse since 1998 and have worked in secure mental health services for the majority of my career with the only exception being just prior to Active Pathways, I worked within a probation service.

How long have you worked at Active Pathways for?

I joined the Active Pathways team in 2016 and have recently been promoted from Deputy Manager to Registered Manager of both our services in Preston (Brookhaven and The Hamptons).

What does a day in the life of a Registered Manager look like?

Previously in my role as Deputy Manager, every day was different which was great. I supported in clinical issues to help deliver new systems and processes in service development. But a day in the life of a Registered Manager? I’ve just stepped into the role so I guess only time will tell – but I’m looking forward to the challenge!

What’s been your highlight so far about working at Active Pathways?

To be honest – all of it! From seeing service users progressing and moving on, to supporting the service and seeing everyone play their part, to achieving an outstanding rating from the CQC. It’s been amazing to witness it all.

Would you recommend working at Active Pathways to a friend?

Absolutely! I’d describe Active Pathways as a passionate, caring and friendly place to work – who wouldn’t want to work somewhere like this?
